Why do I get the wrong gender in my Celebrity Matches?

It is not our intention to insult anyone with their Celebrity Matches. The original purpose for the Face Recognition software is to help people find their ancestors in which case getting both male and female matches is quite relevant.

In the future, we will add gender selection to avoid this problem in Celebrity Match results.

You can choose to see female-only or male-only matches in Celebrity Matches.

When you get your results back, you will see on the celebrity ‘card’ a little icon that is set to ‘All’. Change it to ‘F’ or ‘M’ as you please and you will see only matches of your chosen gender.
